In keeping
with our expansive philosophy that unlimited possibilities turn
into functional realities by tapping human potential, Echem’s
unwavering conviction is that its people are its most valuable
asset. This philosophy is the impulse underlying Echem’s
recognition and affirmation that the development of an
organization’s human resources is the key to a skilled labor
force-the driving power underlying all successful company
ventures.
Developing
programs of technical and economic cooperation that will ensure
the development of its labor force and their positive
contribution toward organizational goals is, therefore, Echem’s
part-and-parcel of enhancing mutual trust and understanding not
only within its own company infrastructure but also with its
clients and investors, including government to government,
organization to organization, community to community, and people
to people.
Echem has
placed considerable importance on these concepts and objectives,
thereby supporting the Egyptian Government’s policies and
services aimed to encourage mutual trust and understanding
through building economic, academic, and other linkages that
will allow for the exchange of knowledge with other countries of
the region, thereby providing investors with the information and
skilled labor they need to view options and make positive
business choices.
VISION
-
People
are the world’s most important resource
-
By
developing people around the Middle East region, we can create
a better quality of life all round.
-
Egypt
can show the world its commitment to working with other
countries in the promotion of human resource development.
-
It is
our duty to create a better international understanding of
trust in Egypt as a solid and lucrative investment
opportunity.
-
We
should involve the international community, governments,
academics, business people, civil society organizations, and
individuals in human resource development.
-
We
should create synergistic relationships between the workforce
and the workplace by networking with other similar projects.
-
We
should gain new knowledge and add value to existing knowledge.
-
We
should become a center of excellence in the field of human
resource development.
BROAD OBJECTIVES
Echem has
a firm belief that human resource development does have critical
regional and international dimensions. Our Human Resource
development does have critical regional and international
dimensions. Our Human Resource Development strategies aim to
improve the nation’s standard of human resource. An improved
human resource pool will provide a strong basis for economic
development, which in turn will bring about an improved standard
of living in the Middle East region as a whole. Middle East
countries are undergoing rapid change as a result of
globalization and the impact of progressive communication and
information technologies. Such technologies have unlocked the
vast and constantly expanding store of global knowledge to all
those with access and education. Echem recognizes that we must
explore and take advantage of increasing opportunities and
reducing negative impacts.
Central to
the strategic significance given to HRD in any organization is
the establishment and maintenance of an effective learning
culture--one that actively supports development of individual
potential and as a result fosters increased commitment and
motivation.
Typically,
HRD investment is seen in terms of the more formal and
traditional in-house training courses and other
development activities—courses, workshops, conferences,
development schemes and further education—that usually occur
outside the workplace. However, at Echem HRD also operates at an
informal level through strategies that include through
on-the-job training, career counseling, mentoring, individual
career planning, project participation, and exchange with other
organizations.
To
maintain a competitive edge, Echem is connected with
associations and organizations that provide us with educational
programs, training tools and course offerings to improve upon
our human resources skills and provide industry members with the
technical competence required.
OBJECTIVES
