Echem was established in January 2002 to manage and develop the Petrochemicals industry in Egypt and consequently new promising areas of investment for private investors, international companies and set up strategic alliances with local producers, offtakers and international shareholders.

Echem has come a long way since its inception in 2002 and has faced many challenges on its way to becoming a key contributor to Egypt’s National Economy.  In a relatively short period, Echem has been able to establish world class credentials and challenge the very best in an era of tough competition.
