An independent and special entity for petrochemicals industry , has been established in Egypt. His excellence Eng. Sameh Fahmy, Minister of petroleum issued a decree in the 22^nd of January 2002 concerning the establishment of “Egyptian Petrochemicals Holding Co.”  and assigning the task of managing and supervising the establishment of a developed petrochemicals industry in Egypt . This aims at finding a new strong entity that is capable of setting the necessary automation for carrying out  the petrochemical master plan, following-up its

implementation and development  and establishing projects that could encourage and promote the investment in the field of petrochemical industry.
